We build new homes in Russell and the greater Ottawa area region. Our services manage the construction from start to finish. This can include coordinating with an architect/designer to have a plan drawn up, applying for building permits with the Municipality and moving onto the building phase. Once we have the final plan, we then go ahead to provide a full estimate of construction costs. We go over these costs in detail with our clients for each division. Once we have signed on a final budget contract, we then begin construction planning with permits, scheduling trade experts, ordering material, etc. During the construction phase, we assist you in making timely appointments with our suppliers for all the decisions, designs and planning that come with building a custom home. Building a custom home involves good networking and teamwork between client, builder, trades experts and suppliers. We work with a software, CoConstruct, that allows us to track expenses and communicate efficiently with our experts and suppliers should any change come up. Our clients can also follow along on this app and communicate with us directly through it.
It is difficult to give a cost per square foot without a complete house/design plan. The more information provided to us, the more accurate pricing will be. The fluctuation in construction cost as well as the differences based on site location, house structure and finishes makes a cost per square foot not our preffered pricing choice. Once we have a house plan, even if they are preliminary drafts, and after a consultation where we discuss preferences/materials, we are usually able to give a ballpark cost per square foot. This is based on comparable and current building material costs. The finishing, fixtures, details and materials vary from house to house, and this is where budgeting comes in.
There is an initial deposit fee to secure our services in the schedule. Once the contract is signed, we then ask for the remainder of the deposit before we begin construction. We offer turnkey financial contracts, but most of our clients opt for payouts with their banks based on specific phases of construction completion. There are usually three payout periods.
We have a team that puts our clients first. We also can build from a final stamped house plan.
Quality products and services. We have been working with our manufacturers, trade experts and suppliers for years, almost a decade. We trust their knowledge and expertise in their respective fields. The suppliers we use provide us with quality building materials and finishes. We trust the warranty process and have good relationships with them.
We quote medium to high-end finishes. This would include stone/aluminum exterior, hardwood, tile, and quality plumbing fixtures throughout. We use functional and quality cabinetry/quartz in our kitchen costs. When we are working together on the budget and design, many of these items can also be modified or upgraded.
